You will serve as an INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Division, Naval Oceanographic Office of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Duties
You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and applying security classification guidance to Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) products and systems when new guidance is disseminated by original classification authorities.
You will be responsible for ensuring that changes to or new security classification requirements for products are disseminated to COMNAVMETOCCOM and NAVOCEANO program and project managers.
You will be responsible for performing independent analysis of all NAVOCEANO classified correspondence and products (both digital and paper) for compliance with all existing classification guidance.
You will be responsible for reviewing all critical technology for compliance with export limitations and reviewing distribution restrictions related to the transfer foreign government data.
You will be responsible for reviewing all classified and CUI products leaving the Command.
You will be responsible for serving as the Assistant Command Security Manager to represent the Commanding Officer, NAVOCEANO regarding traditional security matters IAW DoDM 5200.01 Vol. 1
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Incumbent is required to hold and maintain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment
Qualifications
GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience reviewing classified and unclassified documents, briefings, presentations, and graphics and ensuring that they are in compliance with NAVOCEANO security requirements.
Experience reviewing all briefings presented to official visitors, U.S. and foreign for compliance with national and Navy security regulations.
Experience providing new employees with information security (INFOSEC) training briefs and providing annual security refresher training to NAVOCEANO, FST, FNMOC, NOOC and NOMWC military, civilian, and contractor personnel at Stennis Space Center.
Experience developing, implementing, managing, training, and enforcing security regulations and requirements on behalf of the Commanding Officer based on higher level guidance.
Experience performing budget officer certification and approval authority for Government Purchase Card (GPC) expenditures for Security staff and certification of Command leadership staff GPC purchases.
Experience developing OPSEC policy, guidance, and instructions to govern the commands OPSEC program and performing the duties as the commands primary authority for OPSEC and conduct annual OPSEC assessment of NAVOCEANO command and submit written reports to command.
