Duties
Under the direction of the Director, Marketing, Responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets for MCCS and stakeholders. Builds and manages marketing and community development projects from inception to execution. Plans, coordinates, and manages resources relating to assigned projects from inception and project definition to implementation and post-implementation analysis. Coordinates with functional and program managers to define the scope of the project, project development, implementation strategy, planning and support, system requirements, implementation options analysis, procurement, and operational support requirements.Coordinates, develops, and manages project schedules and resource allocations across functional business/program units to ensure quality and timeliness of project deliverables and communication of issues and status as required for successful completion. Makes recommendations to support successful project completion to include resource allocation, integration opportunities, requirements, cost, schedule projections and risk analysis.Participates in project planning, quality assurance and testing, configuration management, defining the approach, defining project team roles, resource allocation, and. project closeouts.Plans, organizes work, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Monitors programs on a regular basis, and initiates corrective action to ensure support of operating programs of MCCS. Maintains and enforces security of funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud, waste and abuse.Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, and take appropriate action. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor¿s Degree in Marketing, Communication or a related business field appropriate to the work of position AND four years of experience that demonstrates the ability to manage the project management lifecycle and execute major events. Or, an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above. Must have comprehensive knowledge of marketing theory, research principles, consumer behavior, personal selling success, advertising and related marketing principles and techniques. Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral to negotiate contracts and to write after action reports. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and priorities, establish goals and develop plans to meet those goals. Ability to collaborate across a complex organization as well navigate through the USMC military teams to accomplish objectives. Must be proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Must have the ability to supervise others in the accomplishment of work.
