Duties

You will maintain, repair, troubleshoot and align industrial electronic computer controlled automated test equipment (ATE). You will maintain, repair, troubleshoot and align computer numerical control (CNC) machine too, automated material handling and storage and retrieval systems. You will perform diagnostic troubleshooting techniques to isolate faults resulting in system failures. You will write maintenance and diagnostic programs when required. You will utilize various computer operating systems and other programs to perform necessary system tests and functions.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a man lift and forklift license.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Performing diagnostic troubleshooting techniques to isolate faults resulting in system failure; 2) Using blueprints, schematics and logic diagrams, manuals and discrepancy reports; and 3) Performing basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
