You will serve as an Electronic Digital Computer Mechanic in the Facility & Plant Maintenance Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will maintain, repair, troubleshoot and align industrial electronic computer controlled automated test equipment (ATE). You will perform diagnostic troubleshooting techniques to isolate faults resulting in system failures. You will maintain, repair, troubleshoot and align computer numerical control (CNC) machines, automated material handling and storage and retrieval systems. You will utilize various computer operating systems and other programs to perform necessary system tests and functions.

I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
