Duties

You will to provide personnel management advisory services to all levels of management in various civilian personnel/human resources disciplines. You will apply knowledge of civilian personnel/human resources laws, rules and regulations related to recruitment and placement, staffing, classification, compensation, and position management. You will apply knowledge of available hiring authorities and ability to recommend most appropriate recruitment source and hiring strategy. You will provide personnel management advisory services to all levels of management in various civilian personnel/human resources disciplines. You will communicate orally and in writing with all levels of supervisors, managers, and employees as well as representatives from other commands/agencies such as the Human Resources Service Center, Office of Personnel Management.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least three years of general experience one year of which was equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following: Applying methods, principles, practices and appropriate laws and regulations of the Human Resources field. Qualifying experience may include: Conduct research to gather information; Assist higher level specialists with various stages of the hiring process; Review documents for completeness and ensure case files are organized in the correct manner.
