About the Position:
This position is with Fort Leonard Wood is centrally located in MO and about a two hour drive southwest of St. Louis. Fort Leonard Wood is the home of the Engineer School, Chemical School and Military Police School.
This is a Permanent Full Time Position.
Duties
Performs technical work on projects covering the development of training programs in the generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical power.
Schedules instruction for each sub-course assigned by the Team Chief, Electrical Training Section.
Prepares criteria sheets and lesson plans to support approved POIs for the Section.
Provides on-the-job training to assistant instructors, closely monitoring assistant instructor performance in the classroom.
Evaluates student performance through the use of graded examinations and practical exercises.
Schedules and presents instruction in new or revised source material to the Electrical Training Section staff and student personnel.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience which includes: Performs technical work on a wide range of projects covering the development, preparation, evaluation, and review of training programs in the generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical power. Covers a range of concepts and practices in such subject areas as electrical theory and practice, power generation and distribution systems, and National Electric Code (NEC).
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education with a major study in electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
