This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Maintenance Branch , A/C Evening Section. Seeking an independent, self-motivated skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic who uses sound judgement with little to no supervision to perform journey-level Maintenance Mechanic duties in electrical, plumbing , heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).

Duties

This is an Essential-Employee Position. The employee will be required to report to work during emergencies AND inclement weather situations.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • You must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Your resume and question responses must demonstrate job-related elements.

Qualifications

You must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the job announcement.You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position. Screen-Out: Ability to perform Journey-Level Maintenance Mechanic work in HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing with minimal supervision.
