The position is located in Capitol Power Plant. Serves as first level supervisor over Maintenance Mechanics performing welding and mechanical repairs, as well as maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing large industrial steam and refrigeration plant equipment such as condensers, pumps, compressors, high pressure steam vessels and high temperature water lines and fittings, boilers, boiler refractory, bag house and auxiliary steam generating plant equipment and plumbing and heating equipment.
Duties
This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Utility and Power Plant Operations, Engineering Division, Mechanical Maintenance Branch. The incumbent serves as Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor. The plant operates 7 days a week around the clock. The position is classified as emergency essential.
