You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will guide learning programs and manage associated lesson materials used during self-study or facilitation.
You will collaborate with learning enablers (self-study), learning facilitators and learning assessors to transition learning designs into informal moments of self-study and formal moments of learning facilitation.
You will support learning program assessment efforts to include data analysis and reporting of trends to determine the need for either change or stability across aspects of learning programs.
You will review professional journals and emerging and emerging trends in learning trends in learning design to recommend changes or stabilities in Communication Training Battalion (CTB) practice.
You will develop materials that enable self-study with accountability.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- The incumbent is required to sign the SF 312 AGREEMENT not to disclose Classified Information, in any manner, to any unauthorized person or agency.
- Must possess or obtain from the Marine Corps Train the Trainer School the following certificates: Designing Learning Course (Curriculum Development Course) certificate within 6 months; Enabling Learning Course within 18 months (cont. below).
- Facility Learning (Instructor Development Course) completion certificate within 30 months, Assessing Learning Course within 42 months; Formal School Manager Course within 48 months.
- The completion certificates must be representative of the current course being taught at the Train the trainer school. Recertification is required when the course drastically changes.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing analysis of instructional systems and programs; designing, developing, and implementing training curriculum and materials; and conducting training evaluations.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing analysis of instructional systems and programs; assisting in designing and developing training curriculum and materials; and aiding in training evaluations.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
