About the position: This position will be assigned to the Swimming Pool at Moody AFB. Guaranteed 0 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. Must be experienced in knowledge of swimming activities, rules, procedures, equipment, and maintenance of various pools. Must possess current valid and nationally recognized certifications for water rescue methods, instructor certification, and First Aid/CPR for adults and infants. Must be able to workdays, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Serving as the subject matter expert in aquatics. Responsible for the operation of the aquatics program, formulate procedures, and conducts classes on various types of aquatics. Works in conjunction with the American Red Cross in providing swim and water safety lessons and instructions. Provides a safe aquatic environment for patrons and staff. Performs other duties as required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must be experienced in knowledge of swimming activities, rules, procedures, equipment, and maintenance of various pools. Must possess current valid and nationally recognized certifications for water rescue methods, and instructor certification. Current First Aid and CPR for adults, children, and infants is mandatory. Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds. Must maintain cooperative and harmonious working relationship with other staff members and show willingness to learn on the job.
