As an Emergency Management Specialist in Administrative Operation, Office of Security, you will be responsible for the emergency management program and assist with the Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) activities at the OCC. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Duties

As an Emergency Management Specialist, you will: Develop, plan, execute, and manage a comprehensive agency-wide emergency management program for the OCC, including day-to-day operations, policy, planning, and budget/resource management, staff education and communication, and provision of related advice and guidance to district field offices and staff nationwide. Conduct risk analyses and threat assessments for OCC facilities and develop and review occupant emergency plans for mitigation, preparedness and response. Validate existing lockdown, shelter-in-place, and evaluates emergency procedures and identifies any areas needing improvement. Coordinate and maintain liaison with external government entities and representatives on emergency management-related issues. Develop and conduct emergency management training for all employees, maintain required databases and ensure compliance with all Treasury and Federal reporting requirements.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-IV or GS-11 level in the federal service. Examples of Specialized Experience for this position includes: Developing or executing an emergency management program for an agency or organization; AND Conducts risk analyses and threat assessments to support an agency or organization. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
