Duties
Serves as a Senior Information Operations (J6) representative and Senior Business Relationship Manager (BRM) within the Customer Experience Directorate (J6X), DLA.
Serves as the Senior BRM to the DLA HQ J/D-Codes located at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Is embedded in the DLA HQs J/D-Code staff and understands its communication channels, hierarchy, and how they operate across the DLA Enterprise to ensure optimum IT support is received.
Is the principal advisor to the J6X Director and the DLA Executive Director of Information Technology (CIO) on all Information Technology (IT) matters concerning IT support to DLA HQ J/D-Codes and senior executives.
Responsible for a range of customer activities, systems, and major programs, and maintains frequent communication with peers within the other J6 Enterprise Service Areas (ESAs).
Acts as a two-way communication channel providing customers timely updates on changes in IT planning and support, while relaying customer feedback and requirements through the chain of command to the J6 CIO.

Qualifications
To qualify for an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/CUSTSPT), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Plans, designs and performs program management and oversight for projects and programs.
- Directs immediate and fast-paced actions of all IT actions, with the intent of providing immediate resolution to support issues.
- Studies and analyzes all aspects of the agency's mission from an IT support perspective.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
