About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Budget Analyst position located with U.S. Army Central, Comptroller Division, G8 Directorate at Shaw AFB, SC.

Duties

Plans, formulates, programs, and executes the budget of assigned programs by reviewing and utilizing pertinent policies and objectives, and reviewing financial reports. Reviews and analyzes DoD, HQDA, and USARCENT policies, guidance, and reports to understand impact on approved national programs. Utilizes a broad knowledge of assigned programs, automated systems and a high degree of analytical skills. Provides support and recommendations based on sound technical knowledge to program managers for all elements and activities. Provides in-depth analysis in areas of resource management and stewardship.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Secret security clearance required.
  • Temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 25% of the time required.
  • Valid US Passport required.
  • Financial Management Certification Level 2 required within 24 months of employment.
  • One-year probationary period may be required if not already completed in accordance with 5 CFR criteria.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
