About the Position: The employee is a Call Center Clerk ("Clerk") located in the Naval Health Clinic Patient Appointment Call Center in Annapolis, Maryland (the "Call Center"). The purpose of the position is customer relations services, which includes, but is not limited to, receiving contacts from patients, making contacts to patients, booking appointments or assisting customers with other inquiries relating to Naval Health Clinic Annapolis, appointing, TRICARE benefits, or other matters.

Duties

Function as a key customer service contact for Naval Health Clinic Annapolis (NHCLA). Receive customer contacts (voice, email, web); determines appointment needs. Schedule appointments using office automation systems. Schedule appointments using office automation systems. Contact patients identified by Call Center management to schedule, cancel and reschedule appointments.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • A Childcare Background Check (CNACI) is required. This position has a specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require contact with children.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
