This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Technical/Administrative Support Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - DEFENSE SPECTRUM ORGANIZATION.
Duties
Serves as an Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) for Defense Travel System (DTS) providing administrative support to the Chief of the Division and the team members.
Reviews all (DTS) authorizations and vouchers to ensure they comply with the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
Ensures all travelers have been issued a Government Travel Credit Card upon arrival or prior to traveling.
Provides monthly status reports to the Chief, BMD on completion of mandatory training and approved DOTS training.
Assists with daily operational matters within the division based on knowledge, referring inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This position is required to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: experience of the overall mission, functions, organization, objectives, procedures, and their relationship to the administrative support activities of the assigned work center, as well being able to identify and analyze Defense Travel System (DTS) problems and authorizations, and to develop alternative solutions involving the resolution of conflicting goals and objectives.

Education
GG-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.
