About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas. The incumbent is responsible for Patient Administration (PAD) program management, strategic and operational planning, organizing, staffing, decision support, policy development, and carrying out major projects concerned with the analysis and evaluation of programs/organizational effectiveness.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Duties
Assists and provides advice to field on developing Privacy Impact Assessments, Privacy Act Statements, System of Records Notices, as well as how to manage and protect Personally Identifiable Information.
Conducts site visits to assess program compliance with the Agenyc Privacy Program.
Subject matter expert for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance program, performing evaluations of compliance within the Network.
Coordinate strategic and operational planning, organizing, staffing, decision support, and policy development.
Performs or directs the performance of various studies, to include trending and statistical analyses, for performance monitoring and decision making.
Develops, recommends, and implements budgetary policies affecting the financing and accomplishments of important programs/projects.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with operation and/or policy formation in a medical organization or network; 2) ensuring compliance with governing regulations, such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); AND 3) reviewing legislation for impact to medical facility and patient care. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
