About the Position: Serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Resource Management (ACSRM), U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The incumbent provides administrative/office automation support for the chiefs and personnel of the subordinate divisions and branches.
Duties
Provides administrative/office automation support for the chiefs and personnel of the subordinate divisions and branches
Reviews training guidance from higher headquarters and arranges for classes that are pertinent to all employees
Ensures a record for all Civilian Recruit actions are prepared and processed for review and approval and ultimately ensuring all relating correspondence is contained in the record and ready for approval.
Coordinate with supervisors to prepare requests for personnel recruit actions.
Serves as Records Management, Publications Control, Mail Control Officer, Safety officer, and Training POC with responsibility for regulatory compliance and execution within each area.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes using computer software to prepare correspondence, graphics, briefing charts, spreadsheets, and maintaining suspense tracking systems for all personnel actions; managing schedules and/or calendars and reminding senior staff of commitments; reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence for grammar, spelling and format; screening calls and visitors to appropriate office and/or supervisor for proper resolution; maintaining administrative files, reference publications, and suspense files in accordance with regulatory guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
