About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Rock Island IL.
This position may be filled by a temporary promotion, temporary reassignment, temporary change to lower grade or detail not to exceed 13 months.
This is an obligated position.
Duties
Perform inspections of services and warehouse facilities of household goods carriers.
Plan, direct, coordinate, manage, and review all actions involved with Installation Transportation Logistics.
Classify, route, and rate domestic and export shipments of hazardous and general supplies and equipment.
Manage various Army Government Travel Credit Card accounts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Temporary duty travel up to 25% may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: perform a variety of assignments; monitor transportation functions to resolve problems; perform inspections of services and warehouse facilities of household goods carriers; classify, route, and rate domestic and export shipments of hazardous and general supplies and equipment, and process Government Travel Systems (GTS) invoices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Successful completion of at least a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university. Major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. Combination of Education and Experience: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 18 hours (total semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts)

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
