About the Position: This position is located at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Center in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Ensure all technical and non-technical work is inspected. Analyze and resolve problems pertaining to the design, installation, maintenance, operation or repair of the projects. Perform quality assurance on various projects. Submit monthly reports of contract performance. Deliver briefings to management and other personnel regarding projects and construction.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.

Basic Requirement for Engineering Technician: Specialized Experience for GS-10: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with performing inspections of projects and/or activities, assisting with preparing reports and correspondence, or assisting with reviewing equipment maintenance logs, This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). Specialized Experience for GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes quality assurance inspections on work projects and creating plans and/or drawings to assist in construction projects and knowledge of Joint Commission Standards, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and other building codes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
