Duties

You will perform manufacturing processes to support a manufacturing organization. You will inspect products to ensure it meets specification and drawing requirements. You will perform engineering technician duties to include assisting in maintaining product quality and assist with continuous process improvements. You will work with engineers and technicians on the resolution of problems associated with product quality as well as the design and adaption of process equipment. You will monitor and suggest process improvements to manufacture energetic materials.

• This is a bargaining unit position.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

FOR THE NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-02 (GS-05 through GS-08 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reading, interpreting, or applying technical drawings, diagrams, or specifications to perform technical engineering work (e.g., design; quality; or adaptation of production systems and equipment) in support of manufacturing energetic chemicals, materials or related systems. FOR THE NT-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-01 (GS-01 through GS-04 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General or specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, or specifications to assist technical engineering work (e.g., design; quality; or adaptation of production systems and equipment) for an organization.
