You will serve as a Joint Fires & Targeting Specialist within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide direct support to the J32 and J3 in all matters regarding deliberate Strategic and Operational level joint fires and targeting planning for execution of USINDOPACOM missions and responsibilities.
You will coordinate all aspects of theater joint fires and targeting, to include targeting and attack policy, strategic target selection, and fires and targeting guidance for the employment of joint fires.
You will train and educate USINDOPACOM staff and subordinate units on joint fires.
You will enable the theater joint fires and targeting planning and operations of USINDOPACOM subordinate commands
You will understand of the roles, relationships, authorities, major objectives, functions and processes of subordinate organizations within the USINDOPACOM chain of command..
Requirements

- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Qualifications
GS-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
1) Developing, coordinating and executing policy and guidance on strategic targeting plans including targeting and attack policy, strategic targeting selection, and targeting guidance for operational fires;
2) Planning, synchronizing, and coordinating execution of joint fires across the USINDOPACOM AOR to achieve the commanders objectives;
3) Training and educating staff on command theater strategic and operational targeting system applications;
4) Creating and presenting decision briefs to leadership
5) Exercising critical thinking and high level problem solving to meet dynamic challenges
GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
1) Coordinating and executing policy and guidance on strategic targeting plans including targeting and attack policy, strategic targeting selection, and targeting guidance for operational fires;
2) Planning, synchronizing, and coordinating execution of joint fires across the USINDOPACOM AOR to achieve the commanders objectives;
3) Training and educating staff on command theater strategic and operational targeting system applications;
4) Creating and presenting decision briefs to leadership
