Duties
The Acquisition Manager will be responsible for a full range of acquisition related activities including leading support personnel and collaborating with internal/external representatives.
You will leverage and/or manage the change to an agile software development acquisition methodology to develop, oversee and analyze required acquisition documents associated with the procurement of Defense Business System.
You will support the program manager and functional leads to ensure agile or incremental software development processes are used to the greatest extent practical.
You will lead the coordination and/or development of Interim Progress Reviews (IPR), briefings, program charter, documentation requirements for milestones, risk analysis, program scheduling and contracting strategies.
You will communicate with external acquisition governance agencies and personnel to manage the program's efforts to comply with major Defense and/or Navy policies.
You will establish the groundwork for identifying, examining, and promoting the discussion of acquisition strategies, plans and priorities.
Requirements

- The position often requires irregular hours.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-03/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Advise senior level personnel on all matters related to the development of acquisition plans, policies, procedures, and reporting; or ensuring all acquisition and associated strategies are compliant with applicable laws. .
