About the Position: This position is located in the Civilian HR office at Winn Army Community Hospital, servicing the MEDDAC and the Low Country Market. Serves as a Personnel Support Assistant (OA) who supports the department by performing administrative duties by obtaining and completing assignments to support specialists and supervisor in the department and to complete the required mission and organizational needs.
Duties
Maintain timely distribution of training course announcements to supervisors and staff are kept aware of upcoming training events.
Provide new employees instructions on how to coordinate appointments with the local ID card section.
Assist with ensuring that all instances of completed training is documented in the civilian personnel computerized database.
Provide accumulated data from a variety of sources as necessary for an evaluation of specific administrative and management practices.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires the skills of a qualified typist.
- Position may be required approximately 5% TDY /travel.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting customers with Human Resource inquiries such as employment, benefits, leave, and in/out processing procedures; maintaining departmental calendar, spreadsheets, or filing systems; and utilizing automation software to input or retrieve data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
