You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Atlantic Cell under the Executive Director for the BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.
Duties
You will serve as an Analyst querying data from various Navy Medicine data warehouses to ascertain data to prep for formatting, manipulation, and basic analysis in support of Analytical Cell leadership.
You will assist in identifying outliers in performance and risks associated with business performance data.
You will perform basic analysis by using a variety of analytical tools and methodologies such as Excel.
You will act as a liaison who collaborates with personnel and subject matter specialists to develop analytical solutions.
You will assist in designing, presenting and delivering analytical associated finding and coursework for a wide range of audiences, to include BUMED staff, Regional staff, schoolhouses, and requested leaders on specific topics.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- May be required to work overtime.
Qualifications
GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience providing analytical assistance, advice and guidance to leaders, workgroups and peers for a command;
Experience reporting and summarizing data analytic requests for a command and preparing for formatting, manipulation and analysis in support of senior analytical leadership;
Experience providing analytical direction, guidance and support with formulating analytical solutions based on collected data;
Experience prioritizing information and analytical requests based on weighted criteria for a command; AND
Experience working with data collection, design model and applying advanced analytical techniques to provide final recommendations.
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience performing data mining from various data systems and preparing formatting, manipulation and analysis supporting senior analysts;
Experience performing basic analysis by using a variety of analytical tools and methodologies (e.g., Excel, SAS, etc);
Experience applying advanced analytical techniques; Experience collaborating with personnel and subject matter experts associated with the tasking and attending conferences, workshops and meetings.
