This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA JOINT STAFF SUPPORT CENTER (JSSC).
Duties
Develops, interprets, plans and applies policy, process, procedure and strategy in the delivery of multi discipline IT services required to achieve system integration/interoperability for assigned systems and applications.
Provides expert technical guidance, interpretation, and implementation oversight of applicable network policies, processes, and practices to ensure continued operational availability.
Applies expert knowledge and skills - to include enterprise and local network architecture, infrastructure, and standards to Wide Area Network and Local Area Network concepts, principles, and processes; network diagnostic toolsets and techniques.
Applies expert knowledge and skills - to include configuration management procedures and practices to resolve complex operational problems and ensure highly reliable, accessible, available, and responsive network configurations.
Develops project plans, assigns, and prioritizes the work of other network specialists, and oversees the implementation of project activities.
Serves as technical authority and lead specialist responsible for team ensuring effective, economical, and advanced technical management of customer networking requirements for assigned systems and applications.
Requirements

- This position is covered under DoD Manual 8140 which will be subject to future Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the Manual.

Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience with technical management of customer networking, project management, IT networking and developing and interpreting plans and policies.

Education
