Duties
Works under the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACoS) G3 Operations.
Serves as the Program Analysis Officer (Training, Readiness, and Exercises (TREX)) within the G3 section of the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Command.
Develops plans on operations, training, readiness, logistics and resource management.
Supervises work of personnel, evaluates performance, interviews candidates, recommends personnel actions and resolves complaints.
Designs methods to implement the regulatory provisions of directives and devises systems to meet specific Command requirements.
Advises senior leadership on matters related to operations and participates in development of policy and procedures for Training, Readiness, and Exercise.
As the lead supervisor and subject matter expert, informs and recommends TREX activity, personnel status, and management activity to the ACoS G3 and Deputy G3.

- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance (Top Secret).
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) up to 25% of the time.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes:
1) providing overall direction, guidance, leadership, and supervision to subordinate personnel and sections, including evaluating work performance, providing feedback, and following-up on grievances and disciplinary actions as required to support the mission; AND
2) identifying, researching, and developing operational resource plans (staff, funding, equipment, and facilities) required to support varied levels of program operations; AND
3) Monitors budgeted fund lines, spending rates, and impact of constraints of shortfalls with the Deputy G3 and other financial management officials in the Command; AND
4) developing detailed plans, tasks, milestone dates and schedules to ensure proper execution of mission requirements.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
