Duties

Establishes and evaluates policy concepts, program philosophies, and broad, basic objectives for the Army's Science and Technology Integration Directorate. Analyzes and evaluates related technical programs and issues; participates in decisions about research and studies that support the Science and Technology Integration objectives; and solves issues as required by statute, directives, and regulations. Formulates policies related to the management and execution of the Science and Technology Integration activities. Ensures that the weapons systems development and acquisition process is responsive to the requirements of Science and Technology Integration. Monitors overall programs and project, and material and information systems development programs, in terms of Science and Technology Integration maturity and planned capability.
