About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command HQ Fort Meade MD.

Duties

Serves as the Command proponent and senior Visual Information (VI) Specialist for determining enterprise applications and technological baseline requirements for VI/multimedia hardware/software in support of computer graphic. Plans, coordinates, designs, creates, and produces visual communication products and projects. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for computer graphic systems and for other contracts related to hardware procurement or maintenance or service of technology. Anticipates problem areas, research trends in data/communication techniques to be used for evaluating multimedia production LANS.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a TS (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) is required (worldwide) less than 25% of the time.
  • All INSOCM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience performed at the next lower grade (GG/GS-12) level position in the federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing guidance on Visual Information Production Operations such as computer graphic, printing production, productions systems, LANS, and image databases to support organizational mission You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingStrategic ThinkingTechnical CompetenceTechnology Management
