Duties
Initiates, plans, develops, creates, displays, and implements graphic functions for the Agency, strategic communication partners, senior leadership, key stakeholders, the military services, and Congress.
Interprets and communicates information and collaborates with other Visual Information personnel and assigned facility personnel to produce visual end products.
Provides qualitative advice on output media and designs visual information products utilizing state-of-the-art hardware/software combinations.
Provides consultation and technical advice to project officers, subject matter experts and customers to determine the informational objectives (broad concepts, organization, functions, systems, programs/procedures) of projects and support.
Recommends updates to the Visual Information (VI) Branch Chief and the DDCP Director, based on current trends, commercial grade, and best-in-class design standards.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for GS-13:
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as using computer graphics systems, animation software, web design, and printing devices to create professional media.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position.
