You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Funds Administration Department of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will utilize financial management systems for collecting, processing, maintaining, transmitting, portraying, and reporting data about financial events.
You will apply regulations, policies, and operating instructions applicable to financial management operations.
You will analyze financial data for organizational programs.
You will research accounting problems involving the collection, recording or management of fiscal data.
You will create and monitor funding documents related to FFC funds administration.

- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience overseeing and reviewing order validations to ensure the accuracy, validity, and integrity of financial transactions through the application of systems knowledge and financial analysis;
Experience reviewing and correcting work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds;
Experience creating Job Order Numbers (JON) and map to Financial Information Pointer (FIP) as required;
Experience correcting and reviewing unobligated commitments with Program Managers
Experience ensuring commitments, obligations, expenditures, liquidations, and/or recoupment transactions flow to the official book of record (SABRS) properly;
Experience leading others with analytical, technical, and administrative duties in the budgetary process prior to management review;
Experience working with Advanced Analytics Dormant Account Review Quarterly (ADVANA DARQ) platform and SABRS Management Analytical Retrievals Tools (SMARTS).

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
