Duties
You will assist the Bangor Site Security Operations Branch in the planning, development, and implementation of Industrial, Physical, Information, and Personnel Security Programs.
You will provide visitor access to Bangor site locations as per NAVSEA, NBK, and SWFPAC regulations.
You will verify visit request information through the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and ensure documentation is complete before submission.
You will set up Navy Region Northwest badges through the Navy Region Northwest Badge Approval Visit Request (BAVR) system for personnel who need to access other commands.
You will adjudicate tenant commands’ requests for access to Trident Refit Facility (TRF) spaces.
You will process visit request and create access control badges for TRF spaces.
You will ensure security measure involving the protection of nuclear information, processes, reactors, fuels, and other sensitive materials are enforced when permitting access to TRF.
You will provide security training and awareness orientation.
You will observe, audit, and verify physical security rules, regulations, and procedures are being followed.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
For the GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate experience such as: utilizing a security database (e.g., Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Automated Entry Control System (AECS)) to review and process security documentation; providing administrative services (e.g., maintain spreadsheets, manage records and files, document control, archive data, schedule appointments); and receive and process visit requests.
For the GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate experience such as: utilizing knowledge of personnel, physical, information, or industrial security principles, procedures, and methods to review and process security documentation in an automated system (e.g., Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Automated Entry Control System (AECS)); providing administrative support services (e.g., maintain spreadsheets, manage records and files, document control, archive data, schedule appointments); and receiving and processing visit requests for access to restricted areas or sensitive information.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled, or
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
