You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY ASSISTANT (O/A) in the VISITOR CONTROL CENTER (VCC) of NAVBASE KITSAP SEC DET.

Duties

You will control access to restricted areas by ensuring individuals have proper clearance for access. You will organize security files to maintain accountability of classified materials. You will assess workforce in the areas of performance and professional development to guide and develop an efficient organization. You will use office automation software (e.g. word processing, database, spread sheet programs) to draft security documents in accordance with outlined regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and/or maintaining a variety of Visitor Control Center documents and records to support the organization; 2) Providing customer service to staff and visitors in a Visitor Control Center with both military and civilians; 3) Executing and enforcing standard operating procedures which govern installation access control procedures; and 4) Performing supervisory duties such as managing, organizing, directing, providing technical leadership and guidance, assigning and prioritizing work, position management, evaluating work performance of subordinates and resolving disciplinary issues. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
