You will serve as an Administrative Specialist, providing executive level administrative and logistical support to the Center Director.
Duties
Provides administrative support to the Center Director and the executive leadership team, as needed, to ensure that organizational goals and objectives are accomplished, and operations run efficiently.
Serves as a liaison, maintaining confidentiality on matters, with internal and external executives and/or staff members on various projects and tasks.
Serves as the Center Director's spokesperson for administrative matters involving coordination of GRC concerns internally and with NASA Headquarters and other field locations.
Manages executive calendars, coordinates and schedules meetings and briefings, secures alternate representative by another official when appropriate, and secures meeting location. Attends meetings and takes minutes as appropriate.
Resolves a range of administrative and/or management subject matter problems that require the application of logical thinking in order to break down the problem into its component parts.
Maintains and refines internal processes that support the executive team at Glenn Research Center and NASA-wide, and coordinates internal and external resources to expedite work flow.
Plans, leads, directs and/or coordinates administrative or management subject matter work which requires the application of the knowledge of administrative or management subject matter or program area.
Provides written and oral communication techniques sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, correspondence, recommendations, reports, and memoranda in compliance with policies and procedures.
Serves as the primary point of contact for employees within the work unit regarding administrative and/or management subject matter information, issues, and/or resolution.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-09 level, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level:
Performing executive assistant support to senior leadership, such as calendaring, and preparing reports in accordance with organization requirements;
Reviewing administrative documents for completeness and accuracy;
Serving as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL.B or J.D, if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above
To qualify for GS-11, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level:
Performing executive assistant support to senior leadership, such as calendaring, preparing reports, correspondence and document reviews, in accordance with organization requirements;
Leading, managing or training others on the analytical ability, judgment, and discretion of administrative or program principles;
Implementing policy and procedure documents to support a range of administrative office matters.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL.M., if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above
