As Chief of the Knowledge Sharing and Analysis Office, you will provide management and technical guidance to the following functional areas of the organization: technology solutions development, web development and content management, data analysis and visualization, program communications, knowledge management and information dissemination. You will serve as an authoritative source of information and lead a multidisciplinary team with expertise related to Safety and Mission Assurance.
Duties
Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
Provides overall technical insight into the development and management of policies, procedures, and schedules necessary for new programs and functions.
Supervises a team of engineers and other professionals. Monitors and/or manages contracted work. Identifies appropriate training needs, and assists in training implementation.
Defines jobs, selects employees, and assigns work; defines technical work requirements and milestones; evaluates the organization and employee accomplishments by accepting or rejecting work products.
Provides authoritative technical decisions, advice, and consultation to contractors on variables and unknowns affecting planning, coordination, and critical problems.
Integrates and coordinates the efforts of agency personnel with those of the contractor workforce.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Directing technical work including any of the following: preparing communications (i.e., developing mission statements or special reports); developing and implementing tools and techniques to support efforts to evaluate, summarize, and prepare reports on risks and operational weaknesses; or providing oversight to a program area to ensure goals and objectives are met;
Developing, scheduling, coordinating, or managing projects or resources, including monitoring or inspecting costs, work, or contractor performance;
Formulating objectives and priorities, or implementing plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization.
