About the Position: Serves as financial advisor to management in U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) utilizing knowledge in the fields of accounting, budgeting and resource management to examine and analyze regulations, laws, directives, ledgers, journals, accounts cost data and other financial transactions.
Duties
Provide financial expertise to management to make decision on complex issues.
Interpret financial laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance to management.
Create financial reports for short- and long-term budgetary analysis.
Utilize automated financial systems to provide data for review.
Provide technical support to all users for proper use of automated systems.
Review financial data for errors to make correction in use of funds.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position designated.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: performing a variety of accounting, budgetary, administrative or analytical functions related to financial management; generating reports using various automated financial systems; and utilizing reporting data to advise decision makers within an agencies financial program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
