Duties
You will ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures and coordinate command security requirements, as necessary.
You will interpret DOD and DON policy and provide recommendations for implementation to the Command Security Manager and Team Lead.
You will with minimal guidance, effectively achieve stated objectives, anticipating and overcoming obstacles as necessary. Organize and prioritize own tasks to deliver the objective in a timely manner, adjusting work plans as necessary.
You will establish priorities and coordinate work across projects, programs, or people, and balance work while assisting the lead to provide teammates with clear interpretation of policy identifying solutions for complex security requirements.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
To Qualify for the DA-04:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and researching security issues, interpreting and applying security concepts; ensuring compliance with established security policies and procedures and coordinating command security requirements; establish priorities and coordinating work across projects, programs, or people, and effectively balance work; providing training to various audiences on security guidelines and processes; leading Information Security programs using appropriate policy and guidance; Experience with security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI); providing security related training briefs to workforce under area of cognizance; leading other security specialists and assistants from an oversight perspective; communicating with leadership, research projects, identifying viable solutions.
To Qualify for the DA-03:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/8) or pay band (DA-02) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and researching security issues; assisting with ensuring compliance with established security policies and procedures; and processing security requests such as processing security clearance upgrades/downgrades, and validations, pre-screening, fingerprinting, and background checks processing for access; Experience with security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI).

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
At the DA-04 Level:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M., if related
At the DA-03 Level:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., if related
