Duties
You will maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities; and providing leadership and supervision.
You will provide coaching, counseling, and discipline to employees; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; conducts training; implements enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
You will maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards adhering to legal regulations.
You will administer all aspects of the security program protecting the Command for espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and compromise of information or material considered vital to mission interests.
You will establish priorities and coordinating work across projects, programs or people, and effectively balancing work demands while anticipating and overcoming difficult obstacles to achieve a timely and positive outcome.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Security Fundamentals certification.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 grade level or (GS-9-12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge of Special Access Program (SAP) security related concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices; 2) Interpreting a variety of security program laws, directives, regulations, and guidance to assist subordinate organizations in establishing and operating internal security programs; 3) Utilizing analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review, evaluate, and apply several alternatives according to the security requirements for highly specific situations, availability of materials, relationships with other protective programs, and cost/benefit considerations; 4) Analyzing data related to facility planning and assessments, makes sound recommendations to management and coordinates internally and externally for implementation of management direction.
