You will serve as a SPECIAL SECURITY OFFICER in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT of ACCLOGWING.
Duties
You will serve as Security Specialist and establishes policy, directives, plans and procedures for management of a comprehensive, uniform Security Program.
You will review nature of classified contracts to identify the level and kind of secure work to be performed in the facility and the kind and extent of security protection required for the programs involved.
You will investigate suspected compromises of classified information/material.
You will perform security inspections of a command's Squadron operations and a member of teams performing staff assistance visits for subordinate organizations.
You will participate in all major preoperational surveys of a commands special security program operations with sole responsibility for evaluating physical security provisions, security plans, and security proceedings.
You will establish policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods to prevent the compromise or loss of classified information or material.
You will conduct OPSEC (Operational Security) reviews, assessments, and surveys to ensure protection of critical or sensitive information, to determine overall OPSEC posture and evaluate the degree of compliance with applicable guidance and policies.
You will brief personnel on classified information nondisclosure agreement and execute a Special Access Program Indoctrination Agreement (SP Format-2).

- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position requires a non-disclosure agreement.
- You may be required to obtain and maintain a current Security Fundamental Professional Certification (SFPC) within 2 years of appointment.
- You may be required to obtain and maintain a current Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) within 2 years of appointment.
- You may be required to obtain and maintain a current Security Access Program Professional Certification (SPPC) within 2 years of appointment.
- You may be required to attend the Navy's Special Security Officer (SSO) Course within 6-months of appointment.
- This position requires polygraph examinations on a recurring basis.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing security programs (e.g. personnel, physical, industrial, information) and procedures to identify and resolve security problems and program inefficiencies; and planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures for a large organization or command.
