You will serve as an Aircraft Mechanic Leader in the Industrial Execution Department, Production Trades Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will instruct apprentices, trainees, journeymen, workers, military personnel, and others.
You will pass instructions received from a supervisor and task workers and get the job started.
You will demonstrate proper trade techniques and practices and explain safety precautions.
You will overhaul and repair a variety of aircraft systems and components.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Must obtain and maintain all required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.
- You will/may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
I have the ability to lead/supervise others who perform the full range of aircraft mechanic tasks including: 1) Lead other workers or supervise subordinates; 2) Ability to deal objectively and harmoniously with them; 3) Ability to render sound decisions. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
I have the ability to lead/supervise others who perform common aircraft mechanic tasks including: 1) Lead other workers or supervise subordinates; 2) Ability to deal objectively and harmoniously with them; 3) Ability to render sound decisions. I work under the supervision of a higher-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
I have the ability to perform simple tasks or I have received training on this type of work.
