You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Program & Business Analysis Department of PEO FOR JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER.
If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $139,395-$181,860
Duties
You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis, and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution.
You will develop format and content to provide managers with various listings, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations.
You will ensure the financial integrity, timeliness, accuracy, and validity of supporting managerial accounting, budget execution, and financial management reports.
You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.
You will promulgate approved financial management policies within the organization based on DON policy and develop/issue implementing procedures.
You will prepare or review responses to reviews or audits (i.e. FMB, GAO, DODIG etc.) which involve financial management policy and procedure.
You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommend alternatives for corrective action.
You will ensure compliance with internal controls.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing and/or performing program execution review, analysis, and appraisal of major operating and support programs; 2) Providing interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; 3) Coordinating the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization; 4) Serving as a liaison for budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within the organization; and 5) Preparing briefs for senior managers on program execution and providing recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
