About the Position: This is a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position located with 128th Aviation BDE at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.
Duties
Serve as the Brigade S4 for the 128th Aviation Brigade, United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) a TRADOC Service School and supporting training battalion.
Manage control of supply functions and material in compliance with established supply regulations.
Conduct studies, analyze findings and prepare staff reports to provide information and recommendations to support continuous training operations.
Use a project management system for tracking and control of projects including establishing and maintaining manual; automated records and files for developing priority listing, status, and program reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment
- A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) managing property accountability and responsibility, to ensure annual hand receipt holder inventory are up to date; 2) planning work assignments to be done by subordinates, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion; AND 3) serving as point of contact for all organizational element users who require assistance on status tracking of maintenance, repair, and facilities construction and/or facilities services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
