The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York's mission is to investigate, prosecute and deter violations of federal statutes, enforce and represent the interests of the United States in civil litigation, uphold civil, constitutional and victims' rights, and foster partnerships with other federal, state and local government agencies and community groups.
Duties
The Administrative Services Assistant (OA) provides technical and administrative support to various program areas. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York, located in Brooklyn, New York, focusing in the areas of administrative services.

- You must be a United States Citizen or National to apply for this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying:To qualify at the GS-7 level, you mustpossess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal government (obtained in the public or private sector) performing, at minimum, three (3) of the four (4) following duties:
Providing technical assistance or processing support to human resources activities/actions.
Participating in the preparation and/or review of budget activities.
Assisting with conducting property inventory and/or maintaining property records.
Using electronic databases to produce and/or track documents.
Typing Proficiency: To be qualified, you must type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. (A typing test may later be required.)

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level.
You must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted; recommended SF-50s include promotions and step increases (within grade increases).
