About the Position: Serves within the G1 HR Directorate Military Personnel Division as an IT Program Manager (Systems Administration).
Duties
Directs scheduled preventative and unscheduled demand maintenance in accordance with policy, guidance and directive
Reviews and provides comments to policy and regulations issued by higher command authorities.
Develops and maintains local procedures for networks, system operations, and product assembly and installation.
Develops and directs the implementation of VoIP systems, including voice, video and voice messaging.
Ensures the work efforts achieve the outcome specified within the agency's business and information technology strategies, including appropriate strategic, life-cycle management, and capital IT investment plans.
Directs and monitors integration activities and identifies and documents integration issues, risks and gaps.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license to operate non-tactical vehicles (NTV) vehicles such as a sedan or small passenger van.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 10 to 25% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance of access for the duration of employment which includes a background investigation and credit check.
- This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations (e.g., threat to the facility, natural disaster, delayed reporting).

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Experience planning, designing, implementing the life cycle management of Visa Passport Application (VPAS) systems which support the automated processes for effectively managing the DoD system for issuance of passports and Visas. Experience utilizing the Army Portfolio Management System (APMS) or similar systems to monitor IT systems (VPAS, Passport Matters). Experience developing technical specifications and associated procurement documentation to acquire hardware, software, and services required to support the mission. Experience monitoring the usage and rate of expenditures against allocated/budgeted funds and ensures invoices are correctly billed and reconciled.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
