Duties

Exercises 2nd level (or higher) technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more during duty time. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

  • PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations. This is a Centrally Managed position under the Logistics Career Field.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in directing, developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specific mission, weapons system, or other designated program. Assisted with or independently planned, organized, and oversee the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with all legal and regulatory requirements and meet the customer's needs. Assisted with the development of independently developed and adjusted short and long priorities and goals. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support. 2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a small to medium sized organization. 4. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options. 5. Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work is primarily sedentary. May require some walking, standing, bending, carrying and/or lifting of light items such as paper or books. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work is performed in a typical office setting, requiring the use of normal safety precautions necessary for an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
