As a Reliability Compliance Specialist, you will serve as the Upper Great Plains Region (UGP) expert on North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) compliance requirements as related to the Region's Maintenance and Engineering organizations.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty location(s) identified.*

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
For the GS-12: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Experience identifying, collecting, and organizing data pertaining to NERC reliability standards.
Providing data in an organized manner for use in a NERC audit for electric power system maintenance activities.
For the GS-13: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL the following:
Experience working with NERC reliability standards.
Participating in NERC audit for electric power system maintenance activities.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
