As a Power Operations Compliance Manager, you will be managing the mandatory compliance activities required by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Midwest Reliability Organization(MRO) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) standards related to UGPR Power System Operations.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty location(s) identified.**

As a Power Operations Compliance Manager, you will:
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Developing, directing, and overseeing the Region's NERC/MRO/WECC compliance for operations and provides compliance policy support to the Ops Manager.
Notifying the Operations Manager of possible or anticipated noncompliance issues and initiates the development of corrective actions as needed and represents UGP Operations in NERC/MRO/WECC audits.
Overseeing and managing maintenance program for the UGPR Watertown Office Complex including assisting in determining budget requirement for the maintenance program.
Overseeing a comprehensive training program that assures power system dispatchers/Real-time Engineers are fully trained on NERC Standards; FERC Orders; and DOE/Western policies, procedures, and guidelines; and use of applicable tools.
Time-in-Grade: Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
