Duties
Provides coordination, guidance, and technical assistance to Regional offices on planning, land, recreation, and related resource management matters which are directly or indirectly related to Regional programs and projects.
Advises on appropriate content, processing, and legal policy requirements associated with land management, realty, oil and gas permitting, outdoor recreation management, concession management, Title 28, and accessibility issues.
Works with Regional WaterSMART/Water Conservation Field Services Program Coordinator to ensure program objectives are met.
Provides supervisory leadership and technical guidance to staff to accomplish the Group's program objectives.
Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-12 level in federal service having demonstrated experience leading teams that manage two or more of the following fields or having primary program implementation responsibility for two or more of the following fields: Federal land management (including management associated with the future use of and/or impacts to Federal lands, facilities, or waterbodies), realty, outdoor recreation, wildland fire management, or accessibility.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Applicants eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) are not required to meet time-in-grade restrictions in order to be considered.
