You will serve as a PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN in the ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will review changes to procurement regulations and policies and coordinates with the supervisor/specialist on any required changes to solicitations or contracts.
You will track the status of actions/orders using contacts with vendors/contractors and automated and manual systems.
You will assemble and prepare procurement management reports by gathering and consolidating pertinent information.
You will investigate customer or vendor complaints of errors in shipment, payment, and/or contract documentation and resolve issues within incumbent’s area of responsibility.
You will manipulate data and assist contract specialists in data management, contract document development, financial reporting and associated contract reporting requirements.
You will use electronic systems for creating, extracting, adding, deleting, editing, and storing information in completion of forms, tabular and text material, general correspondence, reports and memoranda.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialzied experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: r 1) Inputting statistical and acquisition data into data processing equipment and procurement databases; 2) Utilizing office automation equipment such as word processing software to create and/or edit complex office correspondence and reports in support of acquisition operations; 3) Examining and processing contractor and vendor invoices; 4) Ensuring necessary information and/or supporting documentation is included in contract packages; and 5) Maintaining progress, status, and statistical records and reports. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
