Duties

Serves as the Manager, Retail Operation Projects for the Field Operations Branch, Business Operations Directorate, Business and Support Services Division (MR), Manpower and Reserve Affairs Department, Headquarters Marine Corps. The incumbent serves as a direct advisor to the Head Field Operations who assigns work in terms of overall objectives, results desired and provides guidance and direction.

Qualifications

BACHELOR¿S DEGREE from an accredited college or university in business management, business administration or a related field appropriate to the work of the position and THREE YEARS of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.  Must have skill to apply this knowledge to diverse and complex assignments that require development and implementation of new projects considering a variety of environmental and economic factors with significant costs.  Skill to align project priorities by creating a plan of action and milestones and a developed course of action.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.  Scrum Master (CSM) and Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certifications strongly desired. Leadership experience in the retail field is required. Must have a strong operational background and possess a demonstrated ability to lead and direct a focused team. Should possess a solid functional knowledge of IT application support.Ability to partner and coach diverse working groups. Knowledge of organization and planning skills, change leadership skills, supervisory and team-building skills. Ability to build relationships and align partnerships with varying constituencies across the organization. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Skill to deal effectively with senior leadership from military and commercial environments.  Knowledge and experience with intermediate level computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database software and computer drafting/architectural programs). Must be able to travel in support of projects.Eligible for incremental telework as determined by MR/MF policy.
