You will serve as the Deputy Division Head within the Undersea Warfare Systems Engineering Division of Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Keyport (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
Duties
You will manage and supervise other supervisors, as well as other personnel of varying disciplines.
You will implement strategic initiatives.
You will plan, organize, delegate, assign, and set work priorities using independent judgement.
You will support various customers of the Fleet Readiness Department and NUWC Division Keyport by providing capable staff and effective processes to project teams.
You will manage the daily operations of the division, provide oversight and management of projects and initiatives, and support the Division Head.
You will serve as senior technical advisor to the Division Head.
You will coordinate division-level efforts to address technical issues, provide technical direction, logistics oversight, and integration of department and division product support and logistics efforts.
You will be responsible for project leadership, oversight, and direction for the work carried out by the line organizations at the division.
You will interface with Customer Agents for one or more programs to establish project requirements, deliverables, cost, and schedules to meet customer requirements.
You will oversee the division processes for acquisition logistics and integrated product support across system and platform life cycle.
You will establish consistent product support and logistic related processes, policy/business rules, and roles and responsibilities within the division where possible and collaborate across the department.
You will identify division competency training needs and coordinate/facilitate division unique competency training.
You will assist in formulating policies regarding workload planning, supportability analysis, and life cycle sustainment requirements to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
You will be responsible for development and monitoring of technical metrics for division functional areas and work with senior line managers to assure technical health of division core capabilities that impact assigned output areas.
You will collaborate with other government agencies, academia, and private industry to develop, test, and apply new theories and principles to Undersea Warfare activities.
You will serve as a subject matter expert for data science and statistical analysis efforts within the division.
You will utilize data analytics methodologies and techniques to apply new technologies to Undersea Warfare systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervising, providing oversight, and management of projects and initiatives in support of submarine undersea warfare and combat systems.
